Baggage Transfers

Toronto

Guests transiting Toronto Pearson International Airport and connecting on a flight to the USA must collect their baggage and clear both, the Canadian Immigrations and Customs as well as the US Immigrations and Customs at the airport itself. Jet Airways operates flights from Terminal 1.

For connecting USbound flights departing from Terminal 1 (Air Canada / United Airlines/ US Airways):

  • You must proceed to clear the Canadian Immigration & Customs while we transfer your baggage to the US Customs hall.

  • Kindly proceed to clear US Immigrations, where you will be guided to the baggage area. Collect your bags and then clear the US Customs.

  • On arrival into the USA, you need not clear US Immigration and Customs as this process would have already been completed in Toronto.

For connecting US-bound flights departing from Terminal 3 (American Airlines / Delta / Continental):

  • Collect your bags from the Jet Airways baggage belt in the arrival hall at Terminal 1 and clear Canadian Customs.

  • Proceed to Terminal 3 by the inter-terminal train and contact your onward airline for Check-in orBaggage drop-off. The US Immigrations and Customs must be cleared at Terminal 3.

  • Baggage not collected from the baggage belt will not be transferred by Jet Airways to the onward connecting carrier due to Canadian Customs regulations. Jet Airways will not be liable for US-bound connecting baggage left behind at Terminal 1 or a misconnection due to the same.

  • Guests holding Indian passports will require an appropriate valid Canadian Visa to transit between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
